Complete Guide to All 11 Custom Powers
Every elemental power in FireCraft SMP — active abilities, passives, PvP combos, and the best counter-armor for each.

When you first join FireCraft SMP, a custom spin-wheel animation plays and you receive one of 7 powers (the 4 special ones — Warden, Wither, Dragon and Gravity — can only be crafted). That power defines how you fight, how you survive, and how other players will try to counter you.
This guide covers every power: what it does, how to use it in PvP, and which custom armor counters it.
⚡ How Powers Work
Every power gives an active ability (SNEAK + RIGHT CLICK) and a permanent passive. Your power is stored in a Shard item. Kill a player in PvP → steal their Shard. Die to a mob or environmental damage → Shard returns to you on respawn.

Fire, Dark, Wind, Ice, Lightning, Trader and Rift come from the first-join spin wheel. Warden and Wither are craft-only.

Shard: Blaze RodActiveShoot a fireball in the direction you're facing
PassiveEvery melee hit sets the target on fire
PvP Tip: Open fights from range with the fireball. Passive fire DoT adds free damage while you reposition or swap items.
Counter: Ember Guard — 50% reduction

Shard: Echo ShardActiveSpawn a Shadow Clone to confuse and distract enemies
PassiveNearby hostile mobs ignore you — no aggro
PvP Tip: Shadow Clone in 1vX — enemies attack the clone while you deal real damage. Passive mob-ignore makes caving and Nether travel much safer.
Counter: Void Weave — 50% reduction

Shard: FeatherActiveAir Dash — burst forward at high speed
PassiveSlow Fall (zero fall damage) + mid-air control
PvP Tip: Best escape tool. Jump off a cliff, activate dash mid-air, glide to safety. Also great for chasing fleeing players.
Counter: Frost Plate — 50% reduction

Shard: Prismarine ShardActiveIce Ray — freeze and slow the targeted enemy
PassiveEnemies nearby are permanently weakened (less attack)
PvP Tip: Hard CC — freeze enemies while companions and teammates pile on. Weakness aura makes you extremely tanky in group fights.
Counter: Frost Plate — 50% reduction

Shard: Glowstone DustActiveChain Lightning — jumps from mob to mob in range
PassiveHaste I — faster mining speed and attack rate
PvP Tip: Devastating in group fights — one activation hits multiple enemies. Haste I passive gives you faster attack speed than almost any other power.
Counter: Dragon Scale — 40% + 15 cap

Shard: EmeraldActiveToggle invisibility for a few seconds
PassiveUnlock exclusive 1-emerald villager trades
PvP Tip: Invisibility active is perfect for ambushes. Activate before engaging from a base. Emerald passive makes you the wealthiest player through easy villager farming.
Counter: Dragon Scale — 40% + 15 cap

Shard: Rabbit FootActiveBlink — instantly teleport 30 blocks in your look direction
PassiveSpeed I — always slightly faster than others
PvP Tip: Best gap-closer and escape combined. Blink through a wall to escape, or into melee range to engage. Speed I passive means you nearly always outrun chasers.
Counter: Void Weave — 50% reduction

Shard: Sculk Shrieker — Craft OnlyActiveSonic Boom — 25-block beam, bypasses armor, 14 damage (10s CD)
PassiveDarkness Aura on nearby mobs + 25% bonus void damage on every melee hit
PvP Tip: Sonic Boom bypasses all armor completely. Use it to finish players hiding in full netherite. Void damage passive means you always deal more than the tooltip shows.
Counter: Warden Carapace — 60% reduction

Shard: Nether Star — Craft OnlyActiveWither Barrage — 3 rays × 8 damage + Wither II effect (9s CD)
PassiveSoul Drain on melee + constant Wither I aura to nearby mobs
PvP Tip: Wither Barrage + Soul Drain = incredible sustain in long fights. Each ray applies Wither which ticks through armor. Great against tanky 20+ heart players.
Counter: Dragon Scale — 40% + 15 cap
CRAFT-ONLY · 2 LEGENDARY POWERS
Legendary Powers
Dragon and Gravity are not on the spin wheel — you must craft them. The hardest and most powerful on the server.

Active 2Dimensional Collapse (Q key) — 30-block singularity pulls then blasts (30s CD)
PassiveVoid Wings (no fall dmg) + Dragon Rage auto-triggers at <25% HP
PvP Tip: Dimensional Collapse → Dragon Sovereignty combo is nearly unstoppable in 1v1. Dragon Rage at low HP means you become MORE dangerous when nearly dead.
Counter: Dragon Scale — 40% + 15 cap
Craft: collect all 9 shard materials → Super Energy Crystal → Dragon Shard

Shard: Heavy Core — Craft OnlyActiveSummon 5 Meteors — rocks rain from the sky on enemies
Passive3× melee damage + Slowness on hit
PvP Tip: 3× melee passive = highest raw DPS in the game, no activation needed. Slowness on hit makes escape nearly impossible. Use Meteor when enemies cluster. Credit: Zeref_A
