FireCraft SMP lets you tame 63 different mob types as permanent companions. Each companion fights alongside you, gains experience, levels up to 100, and provides passive auras that benefit you even when it's not in combat. You can bring up to 3 companions at a time into the world.
Passive, neutral, and hostile mobs — wolves, horses, foxes, zombies, blazes, even Ender Dragons.
Each companion gains XP from kills. Higher levels unlock stronger abilities and passive auras.
You can have up to 3 companions out at once. Switch between saved companions at a base.
Every mob requires a specific taming item. Hold it in your main hand and right-click the target mob to start the taming session. Using the wrong item cancels the attempt. Check the Features page for the full taming item list per mob category.
A Boss Bar appears above the screen with a countdown timer. Right-click the mob repeatedly to feed it the taming item before the bar empties. The number of feeds required varies by mob tier — common mobs need fewer, rare mobs need more.
Once tamed, you are prompted to name your new companion. The name appears in a floating label above the mob. Choose wisely — it shows in your companion roster and in PvP kill messages.
The Boss Bar empties and the mob becomes neutral. You lose the taming items used. Wait a few seconds before trying again. Some rare mobs have a small random chance of failure even with correct items and timing — just retry.
No. Tamed companions are bound to you. Other players can attack them (companions take damage and can be killed) but cannot retame them. Keep your companions on Guard mode near your base when offline.
Right-click your companion with an empty hand to open its mode menu. Three modes control behaviour:
Companion stays close and attacks any mob or player that damages you. Best for exploring and PvP.
Companion stays in place and attacks anything that enters a radius. Best for base defence while offline.
Companion is idle and won't attack or follow. Useful when you don't want it interfering.
Companions earn XP whenever they deal or assist in a kill. Leveling up increases their base stats and unlocks stronger passive auras at milestone levels.
Basic attack damage. Passive aura active at low strength. Good for early-game farming.
Increased damage and health. Passive aura at medium strength. Noticeable in PvP.
High damage output. Aura reaches full mid-tier strength. A real threat in fights.
Maximum stats. Full passive aura. A Level 100 companion can swing PvP fights on its own.
Every companion type provides a passive aura that affects you (and nearby teammates in party) continuously. The aura scales with companion level. Examples:
Restores a small percentage of damage dealt back to your health. At Level 100: +3% lifesteal on every hit. Pairs extremely well with Fire Power's active damage burst.
Grants a passive movement speed bonus. At Level 100: +15% walk speed. Best companion for Wind Power users who rely on kiting.
Reduces incoming damage by a flat percentage. At Level 100: 8% damage reduction. Stacks with armor, not with Dragon Power's own passive.
Inflicts Wither I on enemies that attack you. At Level 100: lasts 3 seconds per hit received. Strong in sustained fights.
Provides slow but constant health regeneration out of combat. At Level 100: +0.5 hearts every 4 seconds when not taking damage for 5s. Great for survival builds.

| 5 | 🕷️ Spider | Web Trap | Randomly slows attackers, disrupts combos |
| # | Companion | Aura | Why It's Top PvE |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 🧟 Zombie | Passive Regen | Free healing during grind sessions |
| 2 | 🐄 Iron Golem | Knockback Resist | Tanks mob hits so you stay on target |
| 3 | 🐝 Bee | Haste Aura | +10% mining speed — great for underground bases |

XP gain is consistent at mob farms. Risking a high-level companion in PvP when it can be killed is poor economy early on. Reach Level 50 in a safe farm before bringing it into battles.
The classic 3-companion setup: Wolf (Lifesteal) + Dragon (Resistance) + Phantom (Speed). You get sustain, tankiness, and kiting ability in one loadout.
Companions have finite health and can be killed in PvP or by mobs. Keep a second tamed version at a lower level as a backup. You lose all XP investment when a companion dies.
Hostile mobs can kill companions left on Guard at your base overnight. Place them inside a walled compound or switch them to Sit mode inside a structure.
